Golden Memories is a partner with JC Sound who provides the music for the tribute shows. JC Sound is run by Jim Castro. Jim has always had a passion for all types of music. He grew up listening to Sinatra,Elvis, the Beatles and all types of music. He remembers when he was little how his mom used to sing the standards and Sinatra was one of her favorites. His dad used to put on am radio stations in the car that would play country music. His sister Debbie was a big music lover and used to dance around the house while listening to her favorite disco tunes.
Jim got his love for the Beatles when his Brother Joe
went into the army and left behind all of his records. He remembers, " I don't think there was one song that didn't
listen to, both sides of every LP had me captivated ! " Jim learned how to play guitar after watching his other brother Lou pick it up and play the Everly Brothers and a whole bunch of classic rock songs. In the 80's Jim and his cousin Phil used to dance back up behind some Freestyle acts for fun and frequented the local Jersey clubs. All of these influences has given him a love for all types of music.
He understands that when he is DJ ing a party or Karaoke at Moby Dicks Bar & Restaurant in Sewaren NJ, people want to dance and hear music that reminds them of their families or good times in their past. He states, " music can make you happy or sad in an instant, it is very powerful, and i hope to be doing this professionally for the rest of my life."

Thanks to all who have hired me for their special occasions. I truly love what i do !! To my friend Joe, you are a great entertainer. Never could i have imagined, when my wife and I used to go see you singing ( we were your groupies ) at your tribute shows, that I would be part of it. It's always fun and I look forward to the next couple of years of doing this tribute show.
To Chris, what can I say but you are awesome !! You were made to entertain people and your future is going to be filled with wealth from your outstanding voice. Don't stop singing, people love hearing it ! Thanks for coming along for the ride. Golden Memories is our gift to the world !
To Gary, your passion for music is very similar to mine. You have a great voice for singing the classics and i'm glad to have you warming up the crowd for the tribute shows. You have a great family and you are all blessed with talent. Don't ever let that song leave your heart again ! People love hearing the classics and you do these songs justice when you perform them.
